Chemo #2 today
I'm feeling a bit jittery and out of sorts due to the steroids. Had my port implanted Wednesday morning and the site is still pretty sore so I'm not looking forward to having a needle in there. Hopefully they'll numb it first. Assuming everything goes pretty much as before I probably won't update everyday.
The hair is VERY thin. But I still have some! I've decided to go ahead and shave what's left on Saturday so I don't have to deal with falling hairs while I'm feeling my worst. A friend who keeps her hair pretty short is coming over and we're both gonna get haircuts to make it an event.
Wish me luck this round! Thanks again for the support from you all.
And Happy New Year!
Limbo

Chemo #2 today
(((Limbo)))
Good luck today with your chemo! (Sorry I didn't get the calendar out this week.) I hope you receive maximum benefits with minimal side effects and I hope that port shows itself to be very helpful to you.
I will be keeping you in my thoughts and 'ers today!

Chemo #2 today
Hi Limbo.
Hope all goes well with your chemo today and Happy New Year to you also.
Usually the second chemo is not as stressful as the first because you know what to expect.
Be Well.

Good Luck.
I hope the chemo kills those pesky remaining cells and doesn't do too much to you. Ask for EMLA cream to help wih the needle going in or I myself will numb the area with Anbesol for tooth pain. Here's to good health soon!

Hope that your chemo today went as well as chemo possibly can, -with minimal side effects. And, yes, those steroids sometimes do make us out of sorts. So, I tend to remind myself that that will be a factor for a couple of days, and that helps.
And Rosalie is right - after the first chemo, we know what to expect, and I find that each chemo does get easier on my body. And, with each session, you are getting better and better.
And remember to take a deep breath when the IV is inserted into the port. It does help!
All the best, and a big

Chemo #2 today
Limbo
I hope Chemo #2 goes smoothly. I liked having a port in my chest because both your arms are free. I did needle work or word puzzles while the chemo was dripping. You got good advice from Wild Rose to take a deep breath when the needle is inserted. It seems to work well that way.

Chemo #2 today
Good luck with chemo #2, Limbo. Hope all side effects are quickly passing and that any joint pain you might have is minimal. I didn't have the port but I can certainly appreciate how good it will be to be able to use two hands during this long process.
God bless. Let us know how you're doing.

Hi Limbo -
I hope your chemo went well today and it is doing what it is supposed to. I hope you are visualizing it zapping those cancer cells.
