In OR; surgery postponed

My TSO was slated for 12-30. I was wheeled in; an IV was started and my blood pressure sky-rocketed.
The doctors cancelled surgery and kept me in the OR until my blood pressure went down to 160. My surgery will be resked. once the BP is under control. I am going to a specialist on Monday.
Very frustrating that this wasn't taken care of in the pre-op appointment. But I am grateful that the high blood pressure will finally be dealt with before I have a stroke.
As a single person I spent considerable time getting ready; getting friends ready to care for me; getting my two dogs ready etc.
Does anyone have any pre-op meditations or tips for jitters?

Oh ((( Lizards ))),

I'm so very sorry that you were sent home, but glad that your high BP was discovered before it caused a serious problem for you.

Here's a link to some relaxation ideas that I hope will help:

Please keep us posted on what you find out and how you are doing.
