not really from hyster, but need to complain

OK, My hyster was 11 months ago 4 months to the day of my hyster I had o have my GB removed, connected I have no idea and suspect I never will.
I was diagnosed(when they did the upper endoscopy to Dx the GB problem) w. reflux(which I had before surgeryand am on Nexioum for), and a hiatal hernia,(that was new) and also IBS(just diagnosed but I suspect I have had it for years just due to my symptoms).
The IBS I have is more constiaption than diarrhea, I really need med to go, I take something called lactulose, non -stimulant, non- addictive, but it works.
I occassionally get sharp pains in my Left side still which I really think is more related to the gas and bowel trouble, than the Hyster b/c I can tell its either when I haven't gone ina few days or right after I go ALL day.
So I saw my GI Dr today and he is gonna send me for a Ct scan.To look for what I ask?? he says it will show Diverticulosis, or diverticulitis, cysts, tumors etc...... He doesn't suspect tumors but just wants it done so he knows whats going on in there.I guess I just needed to vent... I am so tired of Drs and tests, I am only 33!!!Guess I just want some +++ vibes that it is nothing more than GAS!!!
Thanks for reading and "listening" to me complain even though it is kinda OT for this board.

Hi ((((Cheryl)))) I'm so sorry you've been having such a hard time

I have no experience with most of your problems but, unfortunately, do have experience with IBS Like you, since my hyst, I've been having pains in my lower right abs, just where my right ovary is. Because the pains also tend to be cyclic, I was sure it was my ovary acting out. Turns out the pains are caused by bowel spasms.

I'm not on any meds for my IBS, but I know that some ladies do take them. I'm sure they'll be along soon to share some insight.

I can understand how frustrated you must be with all those tests However, your doctor might be trying to rule out every thing else in order to confirm the existing IBS diagnosis.

Sending lots of healing s your way and wishing you the best of luck. Please keep us posted.
