Abnormal Mammogram - Cancerhead

Moonflower, you had me in tears too. I'm sooo happy about the news. You reminded me that I'd better make an appointment for a mammogram--I keep putting if off.

I'll be praying for you, for sure, and when I see a rainbow I'll remember your beautiful, hope-filled story. Have some delicious chocolate to celebrate. I'm having some right now My mom survived endometrial cancer and 7 weeks of radiation treatments (fourteen years ago already) and she still indulges in a bit of chocolate now and then.

Hi Moonflower,

Great news! They say if you eat dark chocolate it IS good for you. It has some antioxidants in it (I think that is what I read) and less of the bad fat than milk chocolate. So a little might not hurt. A celebration is certainly in order!

I sent you something in the mail today, so watch out for it in a few days.

Many congrats on continued health! Accupuncturist are scary, aren't they? I've never been to one, but I do know that they look at your tongue quite a bit.

Dark chocolate is my favorite, but since it contains sugar, it isn't as good for those of us who have had cancer as it is for other people. Yes, it has antioxidants. But green tea capsules have way more antioxidants. It isn't the chocolate that's the problem. It's the sugar in the chocolate.

Of course, I break down and have it all the time. :-)

Moonflower, Congratulations on the sonogram results -- fibroadenoma! I had biopsy last May with the same result. As far as my radiologists and general surgeon were concerned -- nothing more to do. No follow-up. I do get my annual mammos in October in any case.
