3 month checkups-what's involved
Hi, I will be going for my first 3 month checkup next week, my dx was endo cancer stage 1b. Might guess this checkup could differ per doc, dx, etc. but would like an idea re what to expect. Fyi, prior to my surgery I had a CT scan, C125 test and some other blood work and wonder whether your gyns/oncs update these regularly - ie.; yearly, every 6 months?
Thanks again to all you great "sisters" for the continued education and more importantly the true concern found on this site.

3 month checkups-what's involved
Hi Peggiesue,
I have only had one 3 month check up so far. My Doc did a pelvic with a pap, he checked my neck etc for lumps. He also scheduled a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis as well as a chest x-ray. Since I was having bone pain in my back he also scheduled a bone scan. Like you say each Doc is different, but this is what my first 3 month check up was like.

3 month checkups-what's involved
Hello Peggiesue:
I've had two 3-month follow-ups since I finished my treatments last June. My next one is next week.
My appointments have been much like Sharon's...CT scan, CA-125 and other bloodwork, physical exam, etc. My oncologist asks about everything...how I'm adjusting back to life, how work is, how the kids are, if I have any questions. I actually look forward to these appointments. They're kind of like the "lollipop and sticker" after the bad stuff! The cancer center that I go to is so wonderful. They really make me feel good when I return. It's almost like it's their victory too!
Good luck! My ers are with you.
