Sharing some Good News!

Well, Ladies, the day I thought would never come is finally here...

I've mentioned from time to time that my husband and I are adopting a little girl from Guatemala. Well, we got "the" call this afternoon. The last few weeks have been so stressful. Our case was stuck in the US Embassy (can you believe that?!) since mid-December. I was calling everyone. Finally, it took a raging e-mail from me to the US Embassy in Guatemala to finally get someone's attention to our case!

But I'm not gonna fret any more! We're going down tomorrow and our little Isabel Mary will be brought to our hotel on Saturday. On Monday or Tuesday we'll be going to the US Embassy for the paperwork/visa and then back home to New York and the rest of her new family.

She's 11 months old and cute as a button.

Lots of people are telling me that my life will change in a heartbeat. Do ya think? Lol!

I'll be in touch sometime next week. Love to all.

I remember how excited we were when we heard about our little 6 week old baby from Sri Lanka - who has just turned 18 years old!

I know the stress of bureacracy - it is endemic in ALL immigration areas, including Australia

Enjoy your new lives as mummy and daddy!
