Ok I have a silly question

In November I had to have an emergency oophrectomy. They removed my right ovary and tube. In December I had my period right on schedule, but Jan we have had a total miss.

Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be my estrogen levels are low already.

My hysterectomy is a little over a month away. And no I am not pregnant.

Any one have any insight?

i could be completely wrong here but i would think that if you only have one ovary then you would only have a period every other month. i mean i have 1 ovary left and i still ovulate and get pms every other month. but 1 month i feel normal and i assume that is because that is the month for the ovary that is gone. sounds good to me, but i am not a dr.so i could be way off base here.

I had gone down that possiblity road. I had a severe back ache for a week, just like any other month, but no period.
Bear in mind I am not complaining, but curious.

I guess in a month it won't matter since I am getting closer to my surgery date.

I had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured and had an emergency removal of left tube & ovary. I was told my right ovary would take over..and it seemed to...I had a period every month & 2 kids after that!
