Here we go again

Hi there ladies, Well I saw my dr today. And we decided that we are going to take my ovaries on Jan. 28th. Not an easy decision for a 29 yr old but after suffering since 18 I am ready to be done. No more treatments, no more pain... DH is not to sure but he is trying to be supportive. Dr is going to try laporscopic but not to sure it will work due to adhesions and endo... Hopefully she can clean alot of that out to. So now I guess I need to do some studying on hrt. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Dont' really want to have major power surges. This site has been a life saver wish I had found it sooner. I will keep you informed and can't wait to chat again soon.

I'm sorry to hear that you're going to have another surgery.

You'll find alot of info on hrt in the articles at www.hormonejungle.com We also have a forum here for questions relating to hormones Hormone Jungle Message Board

Do your research as removing the ovaries isn't always a sure cure for endo. You may want to discuss with your doc what the plans are for hrt. Sometimes doc will withhold starting hrt for a period of time to be sure that any remaining endo is starved off.

Also here's a good website for info on adhesions www.adhesions.org Sometimes more surgery = more adhesions.

here we go ( kim)

I am having the ovaries removed due to cysts that have formed. My left ovary has a 5 x 10 cm and my right has a 4x 8 cm. I am not willing to do treatments again and I just am ready to be done... Thank you for all your advice. I will do some research... I am scared to death and I want to be as knowledgable as possible.
