oh man am i in misery. i have *something* going on down there.
it started out as mild itching, and now there are bumps, when the urine leaks, it burns like fire on the raw skin. it's "inside", not on the outside, and around the......um.......well.........the very very frontest part of a female genitalia. it has also started to ooze a little blood if i scratch it too much. i've been putting Neosporin on it.

I called the URO's office, and the nurse said to try to keep it dry (????) I said, i can't go without undies, i leak like a geyser.
i don't want to get a staph infection before my surgery. she said if it wasn't better call Monday. I mean, I called because it's already bad!!!! (maybe i didn't make myself clear enough)

i don't know if I should call my GYN or URO or GP!!!

ouch.

RAW down there!!!

Oh my..poor you, fluffy!!! Ouch! I can feel your pain!!!!

I had that too, but mine was 'lower' along the left & right of my vagina..got to the point where I scratched & started it bleeding a little. After that, I didn't touch it. It seemed once I started scratching..or even touched it, I couldn't stop!

I started taking 2-3 showers daily & sitting on a couple folded towels, to let things 'air' out.

You may wish to call your gyno to see if he/she can suggest something to do/put on there to extinguish the fire, somewhat!!

Thinking of you lots!!

RAW down there!!!

Oooohhhh, I had that problem too, but not as major. My GYN prescribed an ointment that gave me instant relief, but I can't tell you what it's called because I'm at work and it's at home. You poor thing. Be demanding! Look how they've made you wait and the weekend is coming.

RAW down there!!!

ohhhh fluffy,

I'd try like Melinda said, lay on some towels, get some air in there.
Geesh, you poor thing, I just can imagin what it feels like.

I have a slight diaper rash, been treating with corn starch. Its not too bad. The only darn thing that hurts me is the actual diaper rubbing me to death.....which isn't really a big deal, but I look like one of the guys.....rearanging things down there all the time.....lol.

Hang in there.....try to get help and get cleared up before surgery.

Shoot, I already got my bag out packing a few things. Now, am I ready for this or what! I still have 3 1/2 weeks to go!

Hugs, Deb

Fluffy,

Go get yourself some Desitin (the diaper rash stuff) it's the only thing I found that worked! Take a shower, dry yourself off while laying down (so the leaking's not too bad) use a hairdryer on low to get as dry as you can then spread it on! It works wonders!

Hope you get some relief!

Hugs,

Louise

RAW down there!!!

Luise-thanks for suggestion. i had already been using a hairdryer ever since my surgery to keep things nice and dry--i occasionaly get dermatitis being fluffy and all.....so yes, i did do the "
frog position" and used the hair dryer .
I also bought some Desitin and have been using that since Saturday. It seems to be helping.

sheesh.!!! Maybe i really should go to Auto Zone and drink a bottle of Stop Leak! (just kidding.....)

that burnin' feelin'

As a microbiologist and a female, what you're describing sure sounds like a yeast infection to me. Over-the-counter medications like Monistat ointment are readily available and effective. They usually take a day or two to turn things around, but follow package directions for use. Good luck.
