back from the castle... again

Hi all...

I'm home. I went in on Tuesday for a laparotomy/possible right oophrectomy.

It all went well. Actually better than my previous TAH/LSO, which is nice. I'm very tender, but am moving around good. I've got my prescription for meds, my flannel jammies on and I'm ready to go climb into bed. Just thought I'd check in and give y'all a wave

My doctor was right, the "lump" had adhered itself to my bladder and my bowel, so I ended up with 3 different doctors doing their "thing" in my innerds. I did end up losing my ovary, so will be tackling the hormone-decisions in a few weeks. I'm very tender, feel like someone used me for a punching bag... but my pain management post-op was so much better than after my TAH that there is a world of difference in how I feel right now.

I'm off to bed ladies... will try to check in tomorrow.

g'night all. s

Dear Katie,
So glad to hear all went well with your surgery. Please keep us posted on your recovery and how you do with the HRT etc. It sounds like you are doing quite well... what a relief.

My surgery is Feb 4th. I may be loosing the right ovary depending on what they find... so I might be there too.

Get lots of rest and be good to yourself... I'm thinking the flannel PJs are good because isn't it really really cold right now where you are?
