Undergoing Another Surgery

Hello Everyone!
It's me again. Well, let me catch ya up on my situation. I had a total vag. hyst. , in feb it will be 3 yrs ago. started having problems again and the nurse told me it was my shoes because i didnt have anything left to cause me problems. that was about 1 1/2yrs ago. i was still hurting in my left side pelvic area, pain was going down my hip, leg and into my lower back, finally one night i was in so much pain, i slept maybe 2hrs. so the next morning i went to a walk in clinic, all they did for me was take me off work for a few days and sent me home with pain pills. about 1 month after that, i went to see my gyn and she did a ct and ultrasound on me, found what she thought was a cyst, told me that whenever i was ready, we could do surgery. that was back in april 03. it is now jan 04 and i will be going to the castle once again, on jan 23, 04. when i went to do my pre-op, i also had to do another ultrasound. now the tech told me that she couldnt find anything so we did a vag. look and she said it looks like a part of my ovary still in there. i asked if my dr forgot it and sometimes that does happen. has anyone heard of this happening before??? she said it looks like an ovary, it has folicolles, msp,on it. any help would be great. thanks for taking the time.

Undergoing Another Surgery

Hi (((Secunda))), sorry you're having so much trouble so long after your hyst! What you're describing sounds like Ovarian Remnant Syndrome, ORS. We've had several members here with ORS... here are links to a few threads about it:

Good luck with your surgery, I hope you are soon pain free!
