facing more surgery

I have relied on this site for awhile now, since my TAH on 8/02. i am now facing more surgery. I will probably have my ovaries removed in the next few weeks. I'm looking for advise from anyone who had a TAH and later had to have ovaries removed. I have lots of questions, I'm scared and not sure what to expect. Please help if you can. Thanks JOAN

facing more surgery

your surgery was a month behind me and I have not yet been to the doc but feel I have something going on with my left ovary.

what have they told you in regards what to expect??? I am scared to call the doc because I don't want to face another surgery either and its either the ovary, adhesions/scar tissue pulling or endo has come back since I kept one ovary and it can feed from it.

I am curious to see what kinds of responses you get!! Do they do it laprascopically????

You are in my thoughts!!!!!

facing more surgery

Jody, my general health has been quite bad since July. I started have burtsing ovarian cysts on my left ovary followed by GI problems and constant abdominal pain. My GYN is reluctant to do surgery because she considers me "high risk". I have had a blood clot in my upper arm. My doctors are unsure if my problems are ovarian, adhesions, endo or a combination. Due to my risk factors I'm seeing a surgeon on fri. Hopefully he will give me some answers. I'm very sure surgery is in my near future. Thanks for your reply. I need all the support I can get.

I actually saw after I replied that yours was in 2002, mine was in 2003. Regardless though I hope you get some relief. I had ruptured cysts on my right ovary that was covered in endo adhesions and found out just last week when I finally got my surgeons report that I had an uncommon type of appendicitis at the same time so now I don't know how to relate the pain I feel with anything because there was so much going on before. I had severe endo everywhere including on the colon and stuff was stuck together and to places they shouldn't have been.

You are in my thoughts and prayers and keep us posted on how you make out - eventually we wont have anything left to go bad!!!!!!!
