FemRing....does it help with emotional issues

I am scheduled to switch to the FemRing on Thursday...and I was just wondering what everyone's experience was with emotional issues with the ring. One of my biggest reasons for starting HRT was the emotional aspect of things....and the fact that I am just 26. I want to make sure that I will be okay if I switch from the patch. Also, what is the cost of the ring every 3 months? My insurance will cover 80% of it but I have to pay up front and be reimbursed. Thanks! Jana

FemRing....does it help with emotional issues

Hi Jana,

Femring has been very helpful for me emotionally. Before I started taking any hormones, I was crying for everything. I even cried at tampon commercials, because I was never going to have my period again! Duh! that was suppose to be the good thing about the surgery. But using femring has really helped stabilize my emotional well being. It is one of the main reasons I started using HRT, that and night sweats. My problem is I can't remove the femring on my own! My fingers are too short to reach it. Other women have no problems at all removing, and use it quite effectively.

Hope this helps!
