return to work?
Hi
Just a quick question. I had a lavh on 1/12/04 and I am really amazed at how well I am feeling. No major complaints! I go today for my 2 week post op and since I am feeling so well I was wondering if I could return to work. I am a medical biller so I am able to sit at a desk all day. I am just so amazed at how well I feel that I'm thinking this is all to good to be true. I wonder if anyone could give me some good sound advice on this. I certainly don't want to mess anything up or worse yet end up back in the hospital! Thanks!

return to work?
I had TAH so I was a little different, but SITTING was the worst for me. Standing and laying down were ok but sitting was the hardest. Talk to your doctor and follow what he says do. Don't rush it.

return to work?
The range for a TVH is 2-4 weeks so I would think it's quite possible. A friend of mine went back to work (high school teacher) 2 weeks after a TVH and did fine- and she stands a lot.
I don't think it's too good to be true. I had a TAH and was feeling well by 2 weeks, and a TVH is an easier recovery.
Be glad you're well!!
Best wishes.

return to work?
I too went back after 2 weeks and was fine. Fatigue was my biggest issue, so I just collapsed when I got home....I also had a discharge problem, but that didn't stop me from going to work...
I am 4 months out now, and still deal with fatigue, but am not sure if it's surgery related....
Glad to hear you are so well ! My experience was very easy too.
Good luck to you!
