Bring It On!!!

Hi again,

It's d-day for me tomorrow - although I found out from the hospital that even though I go in to hospital tomorrow my op will not be until Friday afternoon - more waiting.

I've taken the advice given to me today and have got a good book to read - The Horse Whisperer - saw the film and I can always imagine Robert Redford whilst I'm reading - yes things are getting desperate!!!

Just sent hubby out to get a good film to watch - I know this could be a bad move - last time he went away he came back with some very weird film - I could be in for a surprise!

I've just had a long hot soak in the bath (as prescribed here) but didn't include the glass of wine - I'm giddy enough as it is. Done my shaving 'thing' as well - the nurse did it last time I went in and I ddn't find it particularly pleasant.

Anyway - I'm ready and prepared - just listening to my PINK cd and practicing my deep breathing.

I've been told I will be in hospital for about 5 - 7 days so I'll drop a post when I'm home to let you know how it all went.

Good luck on Friday. You could always check with the hospital to see if they have dvd or vcr in the rooms or you may want to take a portable one with you for before the surgery waiting time and for your DH afterwards maybe. Just an idea anything to pass the time in the castle. Hang in there and God Bless.

Hi Lynn, I hope your time will go by fast in having to wait an additional day, I too, will have surgery Friday morning, TVH & bladder splint. I noticed you said something about having to shave ... I never really thought about that. Do you or anyone know if we all get shaved there? Oh boy!

You'll be in my prayers Lynn and look forward to talking to you in here when we both get back from the castle.

SoManyFeelings,

Some women are shaved and some are trimmed. I am quissing it isn't necessary for some women. Most hospitals prefer to do it there. Something about infections. I asked my doc about it and she said not to do it before I go in. I'm not looking forward to having it done, but at least I know it will be done and I can expect it when I wake up.
