Jeff's Biking Journey Pt 2

So many of you have asked: What is up with Jeff? So I thought it was time for an update.
For the newer ladies, here is a short recap.
My 25 year old son Jeff, decided he wanted to do something to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. So...... midway through medical school, Jeff applied for and was granted a one year leave. At the end of August 2003, Jeff started riding his bicycle across the country in an attempt to raise awareness for ovca. He left from our home in Pitman NJ and reached Los Angelos right before Thanksgiving. At my request Jeff flew home for the holidays. For the past two months Jeff has worked at a small coffee/book store at our local university.
This Saturday morning he flies back to Los Angelos, gathers his left behind biking equipment, and heads off to San Diego. There he will attend the SGO conference along with Don Melacon, the owner of CONVERSATIONS newsletter. After the conference Jeff will start biking back to the east coast using a southerly route.
His plan is to be home in time to begin the third year of medical school at the end of June.
And I am proud to say that Jeff is sooooo ready to get back on his bike!!!
Please check out his web site. His journal is quite enjoyable!

PS My DH and I will shortly be meeting up with Jeff at the SGO conference.
Anyone else heading out that way?

You may see my doc at the SGO--I believe he's currently the president. Super terrific guy who has helped me in so many ways during this journey!

Take care and hope the conference is good.

Jeff's Biking

What an absolutely uplifting story. What a super young man you raised. For his future patients they will be getting the best of the best. Alot of the best doctors have a heart and a passion. Jeff demonstrates both. Thank you for sharing.
