What to Expect in Week 5??

I will be starting my 5th post-op week tomorrow. I had a VH (kept ovaries), bladder suspension, cystocele/rectocele repair. I've done pretty well, I think. Not a lot of pain, but I "hit the wall" late in week 3 - feeling yucky, tired, etc. Can any of you give me some feedback on what to generally expect in week 5? I know we're all different, but I find there are many similarities, too. I have been VERY good - no housework, haven't even driven yet. Thanks in advance for any insight!

What to Expect in Week 5??

I had my surgery TAH-BSO on 12/31 and have been doing pretty well so far. I think the fact that I didn't do much for the first three weeks made a big difference. As I got stronger, I started to drive myself to the store and get out a bit, but I was careful with lifting. I just started vacuuming again this past week and it hasn't bothered me at all. I also returned to work today for 4 hours and will do 8-10 hours this week and next, and ease back into my 25 hour weekly schedule. Yes, we are all different and I think the main thing is to pay close attention to how you are feeling and don't overdo it, but also don't let yourself become too immobile. It feels good to be able to do things for myself again and not rely so much on others.

What to Expect in Week 5??

I had my TAH on 12/30 and went back to work today. I also have taken it very easy, not to bad on pain. I am pretty tired tonight as it was a full day at work. I noticed as the day got longer the swelly belly started. I really enjoyed a nice hot shower tonight. I hope it only gets better from now on.

I have had a bout with insomnia lately..i mainly attribute it to sleeping in late in the morning and staying up all night. I am hoping that will change this week and will be back on my work schedule.

The only thing besides swelly belly bothering me is the breast tenderness, seemed to be real bad today at work.
