After I'm back home....Movies & Books?

There has been sooooo much valuable info. posted here. Thanks to all! I've read a lot about prepping your home, getting help, etc... prior to the grand ol' puncture. What I would like is a long list of good movies to rent (Not Super funny comedies LOL) and books to read while I'm home and the family is at work and school. I don't get much time to myself and I'm really looking forward to reading and getting the tube (T.V. not cath. or other LOL) to my little ol healing self. Well gals, any movies worth watching or books worth buying? I'd like to make my list soon. I know I have friends and family that would be glad to pick up movies for me when I'm recovering. Thanks so much.

Thinking of you all and holding your cyber hands.

The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is EXCELLENT reading! When I am reading her books, I completely escape into them, and hours go by without my even noticing them - perfect recovery reading! Incredible characters, settings, everything - enjoy!

Well, I made the mistake of renting comedies 3 days post-op and what a mistake that was, lol.
I've been renting movies that are long, that normally I wouldn't have had the time to watch. I never saw Titanic so I rented that. Warning here, I kept falling asleep through all of them so it took forever to watch one of them.
I ordered a whole bunch of books through literary guild online. I am a reader anyway, so I ordered 4 wks. pre-op and got 4 books at one shot. Now of course, I have to buy 4 more, but I don't see that as being a big problem.
I also got audio books from the library and took my walkman to the hospital with me. I was only in 2 days and first day I was out of it, so regardless to say, I never listened to them but I still thought it was a good idea.
