pre cancerous or benign?

Hi, I had a THS on 12/10 and was told about 3 weeks later that My biopsy after surgery showed a lot of cells and that it was very fast growing. She also added that the oncologist who examined the findings said that I was a very lucky girl but the case was closed. I was told initially that i had a large uterine fibroid tumor .I aske her if the tumor was benign and she replied"Noo, I said that it had a loT Of cells . I think that it would mean that the cells were precancerous. I was too surprised by her cavalair attitute to continue asking questions. Does this sound like my interpertation was right? Thanks, Rummey!

Always get a second opinion from a doctor who is not affiliated with the one you are seeing.

Educate youself. I am sure you will be fine but it never hurts to get a second opionion.

Rummy,

I would first get a copy of the operative report and the pathology report from the doctor who did the surgery.

Take the report either to the doc who did the surgery or to a gyn oncologist and sit in the office until you understand absolutely every line of the report.

I'm not clear from your description, what kind of cancer was discovered - endometrial, uterine, cervical? Each of these is a bit different in its treatment, so it is important to know what is being suspected.

From what the doc said to you, I can't tell what the findings would indicate

Dorrie
