what happens now?

HI Babyless
You did not state what your DX is so you may not need the same as I but I can tellyou what I esperienced.

I completed 28 external and 3 internal radiation treatments just three months ago. All in all the side effects were quite minor and very doable. I had no problem with any burning or redness. I did have minor bowel irritation causing more frequent and more than once urgent movements. However Imodium taken at the first sign helped. My biggest problem has been a bladder that at times seems to belong to an alien. when it first acted up I was unable to void on command but would do so when it wanted. Ugh. It has been quite a haul, but this problem is much better. There is medication that I took for about seven weeks that made the problem somewhat better.

I was encouraged to not eat any raw veggies and other high fiber foods during treatments. I still am a little fearful of raw veggies, but have had no problem with grains or nuts. I tried a veggie pizza last week and was sorry. Guess I need to wait a while longer.

I hope this helps a little. I know when I was ready for radiation I wanted as much info as I could get.
