granulation after 21 months?

Dear Cheryl,
Yeah, Great news !!!! I am so happy for you! Well, not that you have granulation, but that it is not anything else and can be treated! Gosh, I just read a post from Gail and she had the same thing recently...I guess it may not be that uncommon this far out from surgery. I think her surgery date was around the same few months as our surgery date. I am also glad to read what you said about the new privacy laws, so that if that ever happens to me, MAYBE I won't totally freak out! Anyway, good news deserves a relaxing, fun weekend. I know it must have been hard waiting on those results!

Great News!

Hello, Cheryl--

I was very happy to hear the good news that the results of your biopsy showed granulation, just as your gyn-onc suspected. How is he going to treat it? I was wondering if he is going to use the silver nitrate like my gyn-onc did. Or did he remove everything he had to when he did the biopsy?

Just wondering.

Take care,

granulation after 21 months?

Glad your report just showed granulation tissue. I have had granulation tissue on the cuff since my surgery. I have had it treated twice with silver nitrate. Each time I have had a PAP, my gyn/onc also biopsies it. I also had very slight intermittent discharge, which seemed to correspond with granulation tissue seen.

My last PAP done this week apparently did not show any granulation that they could see.

Anyway, congrats on the report.

granulation after 21 months?

My gyn/onc both removed the granulation tissue (which was sent for the biopsy) and treated it with silver nitrate. Hopefully that will take care of it, but by the sounds from Gail's post, it can be an ongoing problem, so maybe if it happens again I won't go into such panic! It was such a relief to hear that all was ok! Thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts and reassurance! I don't know what I would do without this board. You ladies are the greatest!
