MARIACOO'S SURGERY She's resting...

Hello Ladies,
I just got an update on Maria from her dh. - he is Dutch and kindly remembered to write in English for us!

(please note that in Europe a professor is a DR who is ALSO a prof, and therefore he gets that title -it is more prestigious than just dr.)

For the ladies!
***

Maria asked me to send you a message after her surgery. So here it comes, but it will be a short one.

The surgery was major and went allright. Maria was on the operation table for more than 8 hours and the professor thinks he has removed everything that was infected by the cancer. All the way up to the pelvis.
Maria herself is at the moment in a room they call here PACU (maybe you are familiar with). It is in between IC and the gyneacology department. That is because the long surgery. Maria is very cold because of the long time they opened here and needs at the moment extra breath-help and a little bit of oxygen. Also they keep here a little bit longer asleep. According to the specialists at the PACU is everything going as they expected. So that is not bad.
Tomorrow morning however, she should be able to return to the gyneacology department.

Thank you for all you mean to Maria. You are a tremendous support to here in these horrible times for her.

I will let you know more when nessessary and possible. If you have questions feel free to ask and I will try to answer them.
*******

If you want to add your greetings and best wishes to Maria to this thread, I will send it to her dh so he can print it out for her.

Hi Maria,

I am so glad they were able to do the surgery. I was afraid after you told us about the lymph nodes they would not do it. I pray that you will recover quickly. I still think about you everyday and hope for your complete recovery.

Take Care

What a relief to know that your surgery is over and that you are now resting and beginning your recuperation!

It was so good of your DH to let us know.

We'll all be praying for you as you begin your new life, and praying that the cancer is now a thing of the past!
