I have not been posted for a while.
My last surgery was Oct 2002, and now been considered for a endo ablation or hysterectomy...
I have still some questions but after all I read, how is it that it usually take around 1 yr for your body to go back to normal? does that include sexual activity? does it still hurts during intercourse?
Does your endo related pain gets less?
What side effects you feel the firs months?
Do you take hormones?

Sorry for the questions...

Thank you...

Hi, I can't answer your questions about endo as I don't have any experience there. You can do a search on it and read lots of discussions about others experiences.

It can take a year or so for complete healing after a hyst. Initial healing is usually 6 - 8 weeks. If you do have a hyst, your dr will give you orders about your post op restrictions and a time frame for them.

I was pretty sore, got very tired easily and had a lot of that old swelly belly the first few months.

Sex has not hurt for me ( it was a bit tender it first time or two ).

I had a tah/bso so I am taking hrt. Everything is going pretty well for me , I'm about 1 1/2 years post op.
