Maria Coo -more surgery
Hello Ladies,
I was going to put all the updates in a single thread, but this is a bit upsetting and I thought it merited its own thread
I just got this from Adrie:
***************************
Dear Cheryl and Sisters,
Today I come a little bit earlier with my message, due to the circumstances.
I just left Maria. Although Maria herself is doing better today all day long, it is sad. The stoma went worse and even broke during the night.
At the moment Maria is being prepared to have an operation to redo it and bring the wellblood end of her colon to the surface.
It is a hard way of recovering isn't it ? Think of it as two steps forward and one step back again. "Still going forward"
I'm sure Maria will come over this 'minor' problem.
I will keep it short this time. Don't know when Maria is going to the recovery room. The hospital will call me. And I want to be there when she is able to go back to her room.
I really hate to be the bringer of bad news. But behind the clouds is always sunshine.
Be blessed,
Adrie
***************************
If I hear again tonight, I'll post - and if there are any messages before I go to bed, I'll send them on to Adrie.

Oh I am so sad for Maria!
I hope she is doing well. Her husband is wonderful to keep us informed. She is in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow that is lousy news. But I like your thinking Adrie - one step forward is still forward. My best to both you and Maria. I hope the stoma surgery goes well and you can keep on the road to recovery.
Take Care,
Sharon

Maria Coo -UPDATE TUESDAY 24TH ..GOOD NEWS
This is so unfair!!! Marie is in a foreign country, without family and friends, and has had to endure so much. We can thank God that she has such a wonderful husband by her side. I know she will get through this to lead a long, happy, healthful, life, but it is totally awful that she has to go through so much to get there.
Maria, we all love and support you and are praying for smooth sailing from here on out!
Love and Hugs,
Janie

OH NO!
I have her on the best prayer list I know. It was odd today. I felt Maria supporting me! I had a panic just before going for neupogen as I thought I had blood in my urine. Since I was going to the Dr. I just went an en route I kept feeling Maria telling me this was OK and not to be afraid. Maria--may this be the last surgery and may the stoma be all right this time. I'll get more prayers going. PS Adrie's English is exceptional. My attempts at foreign languages were not good!

Maria Coo -UPDATE TUESDAY 24TH ..GOOD NEWS
Maria,
I am so sorry to hear what has been happening to you lately. Almost sounds like me last year, I will be praying for you non stop. I do hope you heal well from this surgery and recover quickly. But do not push it, your body will recover at its rate not yours. ( I hope you understand that). It took me over a month before I recovered from my last surgery, I hope that you will be up in no time.
Love and Prayers to you and your wonderful spouse
Jane
