My Gyn/Onc Visit

My "cancer head" can be put on a shelf again for another 3 months. My visit with my gyn/onc was perfect. He suspected my abd pain (mild, 2-3 x wk) was probably still my bowels recovering from surgery and positioning themselves. All lymph glands were clear & I had a normal exam.
My CA125 was 9.8 and of course, like a good hystersister, I did a perfect scootch.
The cancer center has a nice little women's cancer shop. I purchased another angel pin with a teal ribbon and a pin which says "breathe" (in various sizes). This pin will remind me not to get too panicky before next check up.
Hope everything goes smooth for all my other sisters.

My Gyn/Onc Visit

Dear Ruth

What wonderful news and what a relief I'm sure!!

Enjoy your weekend and do some good things for YOU!!! be it spending time with family, shopping, taking yourself out to the movies, etc. etc. - I must remember to do this too.

And thank you for that bit of info regarding bowels - I too have this bruised/pain feeling in the lower left of abdomen - I will be having a follow-up March but it has bothered me a bit more - but it probably is similarly - just the bowels getting sorted out.

Wishing you lots of happiness!!!

Wow! What Great News!

Just give that cancerhead a shove into the back of the closet with all the dust dragons and stuff you haven't seen in years. 9.8 is totally enviable and of course you did a perfect 10 scootch. I would expect nothing less from a great Hystersister.

My Gyn/Onc Visit

I too have the lower left abdominal pain. I mentioned it to my gyn/onc when I saw him in January. He said it was scaring on my sigmoid (sp) colon due to radiation. I didn't have surgery, but I know that surgery can result in some of the same scaring that radiation causes. So that may be causing your pain too. My pain has been better in the last couple of weeks but I still have it some at night. I finished treatment the beginning of July, 03.

Congratulations to Ruth!!! We all know JUST the feeling you are describiing! It's wonderful!
