Green tea--yippee!

Hi Guys,

There's a new article out from scientists in Korea. It showed that green tea extracts (EGCG and polyphenon E) helped with regression of HPV-positive cervical lesions, if applied as an ointment (don't know the details of that) or taken as a capsule. It was a small study but hey, green tea is an easy thing to make!

where did you read that? As someone with an HPV-generated cancer, I'd love to see it.

Hi Stella,

There's a link posted below, it's at Pub Med. Let me know if you can't get to it and I'll cut and paste and send you a PM.

Thanks--went right to it. Interesting--wonder if it would do anything to keep HPV at bay? That would be wonderful.

Green tea--yippee!

Hi Stella,

I think the results indicate that it maybe affects HPV--because to get on study the women had to have a cervical lesion positive for HPV, so who knows?? I'm gonna have me some green tea though!!
