Follow up to cancer scare

I went to a gyn (new one cause mine was to busy!) and he said he couldnt even touch it because I was bleeding so much. He bought in some topical something or other to stop the bleeding and I am on rest duty for a few days. He said with the history and the bleeding it looks to be dysplasia, but he still has cancer concerns because there might be something behind the tissue where I am bleeding. So I have to go back next friday and wait and see what happens. I am scared. To hear the word cancer and my name in the same sentence is frigthening....but I decided I was going to be stronger about this then I was about my hysterectomy. I was such a sobbing baby. The doc thinks with prior history and my hyst that it is possible I had dsyplasia all along and it just wasnt caught by the pathology report. can some give me some good links for dysplasia? Thanks for all the support.

Follow up to cancer scare

One thing that I think is that if they thougth it was REALLY bad they would NOT have said go home & wait! he would have found a way to biopsey it

Also 20 years ago I had cervical displasia ( abnormal cells NOT yet cancer) and they treated it and I have never had another bad pap! the treatment for ME was to have my cervix frozen sounds strange but was no biggie cramped a bit had a bad discharge for a while ( while it defrosted LOL) and that was it

Please dont get yourself too worked up! God knows I am not the one to say that over the last 6 weeks I have had tests to see if I had uterine cancer & I have been a total basket case! about drove myself mad with the worry & it ended up NO cancer! so please try to stay positive!
Huggs & best thoughts!
