surgery last thursday hormone ??

I had my laparoscopy last thursday the 19th. They were looking for new endo since the hyst, but he didn't find a spot!! However, my left ovary was encased in adhesions, I haven't seen the pictures yet, but they tell me it looked like an egg sitting in an adhesion birdsnest. So that was removed, but it was removed from the right side, so now my worry is, since he cut me on the right I am now going to develop scar tissue over there and end up going through this again on the other side. I guess just time will tell.

I went back to work today but just for a half day, I'm doing ok, except these chairs are uncomfortable. I have never stopped feeling like I'm in a fog. I thought maybe it was the painkillers, so I didn't take any at all yesterday, and I still had the same feeling. Its a dizzy feeling, and that makes me nauseous, I am having small hot flashes and night sweats, which I knew might happen, but could the dizziness also be from hormones?

Help!! The room is moving!!

surgery last thursday hormone ??

Dear Heather...

I had laps on 2/4 and 2/13. The second was a short one to clean out some blood that was causing lots of pain/problems. ANyway, I felt dizzy and not quite right for a couple weeks. In fact, this week is the first week I feel sort of "normal". I stopped taking the percocet a couple days after the second surgery but still felt dizzy for a while... and if I moved too quickly the room would seem to spin and I felt unsteady.

One thing my doctor mentioned was that anesthesia can mess up the middle ear for a while (something about it having swelling from the anesthesia)... and that alone can make you dizzy and unsteady for a while. He had mentioned to me that if it continued he would give me a short course of steroids to help it resolve. It seems to have resolved on it's own....
