Gallbladder Disease and Allergies

Colete,

Hi again. Hey my friend Lisa said she e-mailed you and hopefully she was able to help. I met Lisa on Hystersisters and she has helped me a great deal too. At any rate Lisa and I have gone through so much together over the last few months and have bounced off of each other. It appears you could use a friend too to bounce off of.

If you are not too busy, send me a private message with your e-mail and we too can correspond.

Glad I could help you too.

Love,

Carrie

Gallbladder Disease and Allergies

Monti, I have allergies and am just now having problems with my gallbladder(8 mo post op). I have noticed an increase in severity of my allergies at the same time the pain started. One curious thing I have noticed is that when I was on the Premarin my allergies are really bad, but when I am on the Estratest they aren't so bad. I had the Hida scan done today and hope to know something tomorrow. Because of what I have read about Premarin & Estratest possibly causing the gallbladder/liver problems I took my self off of the Estratest. I am not taking anykind of prescription hormone at this time. I am going to see an endocron. later this month and hope to discuss Bio-identical Hormones with her. I have read other emails on the Hormone Jungle site that have had success with Bio-identical. Hope you have found some relief from the gall bladder pain, I am miserable and working on accepting the fact that I will probably have to have surgery again! Thanks for your info.

Gallbladder Disease and Allergies

VLM,

Hi there! Funny that you mentioned you had problems with the Premarin because I started getting headaches on day 2 in the hospital after my surgery. Mind you I was in sooooo much pain from the surgery and bruising and the Morphine did not work well because I had taken so much Motrin prior to my surgery, but my head was killing me and the nurse had to give me a Percoset (spelling) for my headache. Thank goodness it worked. I am not sure if my allergies increased from the meds or the gallbladder, but allergist told me that my allergies are worse than ever. Go Figure!

Anyway, I have the endoscopy on the 24th, I too wish I was having the Hida Scan, but I am not the doctor and cannot order the Scan. I do feel much better though now that I have changed doctors and this doctor said something is wrong with the bile duct either adhesions or inflammation as I mentioned my stool is very very light after greasy foods.

Please let me know and the rest know how your Hida Scan went. It appears that is the answer for all of us "The Hida Scan". Should you have your gallbladder out or change meds again please let me know about your allergies too and I will do the same.
