Good News!

I went to see the GYN/Onc on Thursday and he was very informative. He explained that the cancer did not spread to the outer lining of the uterus and that it was caught in time. If I had been staged before surgery, they would have done a pathology report right in the OR and found the same results, and not have removed the ovaries. Therefore, no surgery! YEAH!
He did say that I need to be followed very closely for the next few years, with exams every 3-months for the first year and then 6-months after that. Plus he wants to get a baseline mamogram done to assure that there is nothing up there. I felt very shocked at first, I had been told by other docs that surgery would have to happen. But he felt that it is not necessary..and he works with the GYN Onc board on research so that is good!

Thanks for all of your means so much!
