A reminder please

Hello to all the LIW's!

This is from the HysterSister's guidelines:
  Quote:
Chatter: Because the nature of many of the forums on hystersisters.com is for hysterectomy support, we ask that chatter posts be placed within the chatter forum of the message boards. Threads that begin with the purpose of finding members who's surgery is on a certain date or month will be moved to "Chatter" forum since the pre-op forum is specifically kept for pre-op surgery questions and issues. To find other members who's surgery is the same day as yours, please click on CALENDAR and check out the specific day (or month). The easiest and best way to connect with other members on your specific date is to email or PM them directly.
If you have started or replied to a recent thread that was looking for others on the same date it has either been retitled or moved to the chatter forum. Here is the link to Chatter: click here

Also, please DO NOT put your email address in your posts or your sig line. They will be edited out. The buttons located under each member name labeled "email" and "pm" is there to provide a measure of security if you wish to directly contact another member.

Thanks for understanding!

Oh

I guess I would have thought that connecting with or posting about upcoming surgery ( including dates ) would be of support to those waiting. At least to me it would be. I checked out the chatter board and its truly chatter ,much to much chatter for a LIW to wade through trying to find a supportive post regarding her upcoming surgery. This is JMO of course..... Prehap a LIW connections board would be cool.

This site is for support, of all the members, and by all the members. Posting threads that are aimed at a specific date it makes others who don't share that date feel that they shouldn't post on it. Questions asked in the middle of a thread also tend to be passed over, and dated threads get too "chatty" and long, and quite often become conversations between two or three people to the exclusion of others.

If it is important to find a buddy with the same date, the calendar feature is for that. Go to the date you're looking for, and there is a list of those who have surgery scheduled for that day. If you click on a name you will be taken to that person's profile, and from there you can send them a PM.

Thanks for understanding, and here is a link to the site guidelines.
