Back home from surgery

Hi Ladies,

I had my second surgery on Weds and wasn't let out until Sunday. No wonder things were hurting! The mesh from the bladder suspension had adhered to my bladder and pelvic bone. My GYN had to do some digging to get it out - they couldn't remove it all as the last portion was in the sacral area and there was a risk of bloodloss. The staph aureus infection was not on the portion of the mesh left behond. She also removed adhesions - and the 'nodule' I was so freaked out about being cancer was a piece of scar tissue (it's been sent to path. anyway).
I already feel better - they used the original incision from my TAH - I actually feel as if I am on the mend now! I have a JP drain for a few more days and will be on the IV antibiotics for a while more. Once I get the word that there was no cancer I will be doing the happy dance.

OMG....you have been through a lot. When will your path report be available? I am sure the drs assesment that it was scar tissue is correct....Most of these docs know just from looking at tissue what it is.
Keep posting and let us know when you get your results
