Way to go! Keep up that fluid intake, and may this be the last stop on the road to full recovery!

"cathy" is gone!!

Hello Ladies,
Well, I just tried to get mine removed Monday just to have to turn around and be rushed to the ER to get another one. For some reason I started having bladder spasms after it was removed and I couldnt urinate. That was really painful, Icouldnt even walk. They recathed me and got 1100ML over a liter of urine out of my bladder, they said that was enough to rupture my bladder. But you know what, I was so happy to have catheter back after that. But, i am ready to get rid of it again. I have been having mine for 2 weeks now. I go tomorrow to try and get it removed. If i dnt come back with over 50cc after they recath me and i empty my bladder i can leave the cath. And if i dont have any probs like i had the other day, not being able to pee on my own. I will be at the dr fow a while cause im not leaving till i know that everything works ok. And I will make sure that the bladder spasms arent as painful as the other day when i had to go to the ER. So, you guys wish me luck tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I am ready to get rid of cathy also.
Congrats on getiing your catheter out Sarah, I know what it is like, Im very happy for you.

Update on DR appointment......

Hello,
I went tot he dr today and they did not remove the cath. She wants me to keep it in until Monday to give my bladder time to heal from the trama that happened the other day. She said that bladder got stretched and most likely caused bladder fibers, so sent me back home with it. Maybe I will have better luck Monday.Keep your fingers crossed for me. I will be so happy to get rid of this thing.........Glory
