Blessed and hospitals can be nice
Dear Maria,
I'm so glad that the hospital is being patient-friendly and has provided you with a way to have internet access. I am even happier to hear that you are feeling well enough to be able to communicate with us!!
I found particular meaning in the part of your post that said although you don't know your future, you are hoping for the best. I am reading a recently-released book called "Anatomy of Hope" by a Harvard hematologist-oncologist, Jerome Groopman, M.D. The book discusses several of his cancer patients and the impact having or not having hope had on the outcome of their cases. I am not quite halfway through the book, but so far it is very interesting and thought-provoking. I think about you and and Adrie's very positive and hopeful attitudes, and I can't help but think that Dr. Groopman should have included you in the book!
Please be sure to take care of yourself, Maria. Make sure to rest so that you continue to heal and gain strength. We are all pulling for you with an extra-special dose of HOPE!!
Fondly,
MoeKay

MariaCoo
Do take care of your self. And as are all the rest we are glad to see you on the net, but, most importantly you need to take care of yourself and by all means dont over do it. Between my 2 surgeries last year I was really spent, with the problems that arose and just the surgeries themselves. You are so lucky to have such a loving spouse.
Just remember just take it one day at a time.
Love and Prayers
Jane

Maria,
It is so good to hear from you. I think the fact that God answered the prayer, by having the nurses give you the room and internet His reassurances that He is answering all the other prayers on your behalf as too.
Sometimes I am just as awed when God stoops down to answer out little prayers, even the ones we didn't pray, because we thought they were too small to warrant prayer and when He answers the big ones. He knows and is deeply concerned about everything that concerns us.
