How long should I wait?

I am 10 post op and the Dr. put me on .625 premarin. I was starting hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and aching joints. I have taken the premarin for 6 days and really don't feel a whole lot better.

I was wondering how long I should give it? Like most people I hate the thought of having to use drugs, especially with the recent estrogen scare.

I had a TAH/BSo for precancerous endo cancer and my Dr told me it was estrogen related. Any other advise? I am 38.

Thanks,

How long should I wait?

We're all different, but it can take awhile for your body to adjust when starting or changing hrt. I would suggest that you keep a journal of your symptoms, noting what hrt you're using and when you take it. This may help to give you and your doctor a clearer picture if things are getting better or worse.

I don't know too much about estrogen and cancer, but I'm kind of surprised to read that your doctor put you on premarin if your cancer was estrogen related.
