Hair! Be careful what you wish for!!!

Hi! I completed my chemo treatments in December. Losing my hair was probably the most traumatic part of taking chemo. Now that my hair is growing back, my face is really getting "fuzzy!" Has anyone else had to deal with facial hair...where it didn't used to be??

Hair! Be careful what you wish for!!!

I lost chunks of hailr due to radiation. I did not have chemo. I didn have facial hair until my hair came backtoo. Funny thing is I use to have the thckest hair, now it is thin and straight, but he radiation hole it left , is gone. The "fuzzyness" can be embarrasing, yep

The peach fuzz all over my face came first.
Long before head hair. And while you are still pretty bald, the facial fuzz seems to be all the more noticeable.
Be patient. It will soon disappear.

Yes! I had forgotten about the fuzzy face thing, although it sure freaked me out at the time. It didn't last long. It will fade fairly quickly.

I got the peachy facial hair too! Funny thing is, it's still here. My hair started growing back last August! Could it be from HRT?

I don't care...I'm just happy to have hair!!

Thanks for the replies. I think it is much more noticeable since my other hair is still short and not covering the sides of my face. I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one with this experience! I figure if it doesn't go away, I'll find someone who can make it go away! Thanks for reminding me that this is a little problem!

Actually, I had that problem, too, and my doctor said it probably wouldn't go away. It's the same peach fuzz that we might see on a postmenopausal grandma's face. Once I started taking HRT, the peach fuzz went away, just as my doctor said it would. So I think it may be more of a result from a lack of hormones than hair growing back.

Facial Peach Fuzz! Yes!

I had it too, until my hair grew back in earnest. I used NAIR or something like that, and that was that. My hair is now about 1 inch long - i ended chemo on 10/8 - but it is so curly I couldn't say how long it is! very, very curly! which it wasn't before. Enjoy the growth!
