Enlarged Uterus

I had my annual today and the Dr said my Uterus is enlarged.

Can anyone tell me what that means, I am having my surgery the 29th of this month so I am going to get it taken out , but can I still do the regular exercises I do or should I take it easy?

I dont know if she didnt tell me anything because she is waiting for my PAP results, but she said the results probbly wouldn't even be back untill after my surgery I don't know what to think or do, if anyone can help me understand this better I will be so greatfull!

Thank you, Karly.

Enlarged Uterus

Well, I too was told I had an "enlarged" uterus. It ended up being adenomyosis/endometriosis. For you it could be that. Or perhaps some other irritation to cause swelling.

You'll learn soon though with your surgery on the way.

Good luck.

Enlarged Uterus

I have an enlarged uterus too (14 1/2 weeks). I only asked about restrictions and taking it easy when I was having my uterine biopsy. The doctor told me no restrictions. I am still walking but a little slower because my back hurts from all the pressure.

I wish I had an answer for you, because then I would know my self. I was told that my uterus was to big, the doctor did not want to do a hysterectomy, he only wanted to remove the fibroids so he got nosey and looked up inside with a probe and told me he could not see the other end of my uterus. He did not tell me how big my uterus was. I can only imange. So now I get a hysterectomy.

Enlarged Uterus

Thank you for all the info, I do have Endometreosis, I just had surgery for that in Oct 2003 so maybe that is what it is from, plus I have vericose veins that are bleeding so maybe its from that to, I will find out on the 29th.

The Dr told me that after I have my surgery I will have to have suliva hormonal tests because their is a chance my Overies will not fuction afterward they may last a year, ten years or for the rest of my life has anyone had any kind of problems with that?

I have a histroy of cysts on and in my overies, does anyone know if that could be a problem with them shuting down without a Uterus?

Thank you, Karly.
