How Long Should We Wait?

Hi Sisters,
Yesterday was my 4 week check up and all inside is healing nicely with the exception of an small topical infection from a bad staple pull. We inquired on when my we enjoy each other and the Dr. gave the go ahead. It sounds too soon -- Thoughts please .....

How Long Should We Wait?

Even if the DR says "Go ahead!" I would wait until my body says it's OK, too! If you're body feels it's time - go for it!

How Long Should We Wait?

My dr errs on the side of caution. I am at 8 weeks, saw my dr last week, and though I am healing well, he said another week or two before sex. Though I feel great, I will go with his advise.

How Long Should We Wait?

My dr gave the ok after 4 weeks, but I wasn't ready to even attempt until 5, it didn't go well, (too sore) and we ended up waiting til 7 weeks --- but it was 10 before things felt pleasant.....

hang in there - just cause the doc says you can, doesn't mean you have to... take it easy, listen to your body.

good luck!

How Long Should We Wait?

My Dr cleared me at my 3 week check up and she did an internal exam and I was all healed. DH and I did try, and although it wasn't painful, I think I was too stressed out and DH too nervous about hurting me that the foreplay and physical attention, which we avoided those first three weeks, were actually better than the intercourse. So we decided between us to waite another week. I think by week five I was totally ready and more relaxed and things were great. Just because your Dr gives you the go ahead, you need to make sure you are ready for this. Being nervous and worried doesn't make for a very pleasant experiance.
