I'm going to see a pelvic reconstruction specialist

I did have some pain with intercourse before my surgery last June when they fix the rectocele the first time. I was also taking physiotherapy prior to surgery and the phsyio used some accupressure for the pain. After that intercourse was OK. After surgery (when I received the clearance) intercourse was OK. But since Christmas I have noticed some pain with intercourse. It's more like a sore spot, so if he can avoid it then no pain.

I'm going to see a pelvic reconstruction specialist

While I didn't rip my rectocele repair, in my case, the pelvic floor a very, very weak, resulting in continued incontinence. I have no recurrence of prolapse, which is one of the reasons surgery wasn't recommended, this time around.

Repairs can be damaged or ripped if we strain or lift more than we should. And I've been told that those restrictions are permanent I guess that once we've had a prolapse we'll always be a good candidate for further prolapse

One thing my therapist told me is that the pelvic therapy should be recommended for all prolapse repair patients. This therapy can't start until you're cleared from the "nothing in the vagina" rule, but does help the perineal muscles to remain strong and toned. I guess that it's a situation where everything can help.

(((Levanah)))) so sorry you're facing yet another surgery.
