I'm in the movies!!!!

I went for my two week post op check up and was given a video of my LAVH. yummy!. The surgeon narrated the video. Showing me what things looked like, endo everywhere.. even on the bladder and how my appendix was all yucky. They cut the video, do the repairs and show what it looked like after it was all taken out... the uterus is fascinating.. even got a peek at my liver.. nice and healthy! All around its pretty cool to see it all and to see how the endo was on everything....
so i go back in four weeks and no lifting, etc.

I'm in the movies!!!!

I had a d&c, ablation, and laproscopic surgery(to remove a 3cm cyst) in '99...the doc took pics....it was really neat to see my ovaries, liver, and other organs. Everything looked so healthy...the cyst looked like a snowball on my ovary

I'm in the movies!!!!

I'm jealous!
I didn't get to see any of my innards "on screen"...I would have liked to see what my uterus looked like with all those lumps.

Hey Donna,
I'm with you girl, I could not watch my C-section, much less the Hyst...Guess I must be a real queasy one, but the very thought makes me want to barf.....I got a video about 7 years ago of one of my laparoscopies for endo...the Dr was narrating and showing me everything, iI guess it was cool in a disgusting, messy sort of way:0

I'm in the movies!!!!

Oh, I am jealous, too; I would love to see all that. It is so interesting to me to see what the ovaries, uterus, all of that looks like. I had endometriosis all over everything including the rectum and bladder...I would have liked to see what that stuff looks like. My doctor told me she just chisels it away...time consuming procedure!!

Well, good for you...I'm glad you got a movie!!! I wish I would have asked for one to be taken...didn't even think of it!!

I'm in the movies!!!!

Yeah, I liked the video, When I made my husband watch, at home, he squirmed and squirmed!!! Made him appreciate more what I went through. Mine showed the dr cutting things away. Plus got a look at the inside of a healthy bladder. Kinda cool!!!

What was doc saying during surgery???

I hadn't really thought about seeing my surgery, but I've often wondered what the conversation was among the doc & surgical team during that 4 & a half hours. But, alas, it's all up to my imagination now.....hmmmm
