Strange question

Hi! I had alot of yeast infections because I was having more periods (and something about your period makes you more likely to get one) and then the irritation of constant tampon/pad use made me more likely to get one, etc. etc. So yes, for me, now that my bleeding is gone, that should help alot.

That said, there are many, many causes of yeast infections so certainly you can still get them. Especially if you are prone to them--just hopefully not as often.

Strange question

I sure hope they get better after the hyst. I have heard that they do!! I am suffering from one now at 5 weeks post-op. I think it is from all of the anti-biotics I have been on. I had them after surgery and just finished more from a sinus infection that I got 3 weeks post-op!! OHHH, the coughing!! That was worse then the yeast infection!!

Strange question

I never had a yeast infection before my hysterectomy (almost 6 mos ago) and I've had a few since the surgery. So for me there was an increase but I don't know why. I have been eating lots of yogurt since the last one and I haven't had another infection.

yeast infections

I am just like Renee123 - I never had the yeast infections until after the surgery (7 months post op) and now it seems like I have one every other month. I am beginning to wonder if maybe it has something to do with hormone levels.
