I had a TAH 2 years ago and back in Dec. I had a lap for the last ovary due to endo. My question is the incision site from the TAV is very red, burns and seems to be oozing, what can be causing this. And I know some of you are going to say call my doctor, but last time it was a little red he gave me a prescription for an ointment. I have used the ointment this time and it is not working. I am looking for other suggestions.

It sounds like some type of infection the redness & oozing are the signs they have you watch for with any incision site after surgery I've never experienced any complications with my scars...there are several other members who've shared various situations where they've had issues with theirs Perhaps you could try a search of the site to locate some further info? You can also try our Resources's home to quite an awesome collections of sites that each related in someway to this surgery, here's the link:

I'm sorry I couldn't be of some more help...hopefully, someone will come along who can share some further insight for you. Good Luck & pls keep us posted on how things are going
