Good luck girl!

It is your body. Please consider transferring to another specialist at the hospital. Your problems are very concerning to a lot of us here (and in your family), and your life and health are at stake. This woman doesn't seem to have time for you. Don't be rude, just make an appt to see another specialist.

HUGS for you! Mel

Please do consider finding another doctor who will listen to you. Remember--you are actually employing the doctor to care for you and you can fire a doctor who doesn't take you seriously. Now may these antibiotics blast this infection to kingdom come!

I second that

You need to open up your mouth and ask for someone else if they people you and your insurance company are employing aren't doing their job. I dont care how many degrees hang from their wall ..its your body and you only have one. I will pray that you can find the answers you need. Be well friend. ..Blessings from Hawaii ...LINDA

Em,
This is ridiculous for you to be suffering for this long! It's obvious to you and everyone else that you have an infection and that's there is something seriously wrong. So why won't they fix it?

You would fire a mechanic who refused to fix your car, and kept putting you off for weeks, wouldn't you? So why tolerate doctors who do the same thing, and won't fix your body? Your health is far more important than any car! There is NO reason to tolerate this kind of service. You are paying them for this shabby treatment! Fire the bums! You deserve better!

Please keep us informed. We're all hoping that you can finally get some real help.

Think of us, we're all behind you, pushing you on!

Hugs and comfort,
Janie

Empreese,
hope those antibiotics kill the infection off.
Like the others said, you are employing the doctor, it is your right to switch to a different one.

Empresse -
I agree with the others. Time for a new Dr. I switched to a different urologist after the first one botched two surgeries. Is his ego bruised? I don't care! :-)
Can you do your IV antibiotics at home? I know not all insurance companies allow it - mine did - thankfully - it was very easy to administer the meds. - and the line didn't hurt a bit.
I do hope you will feel better soon. Hugs to you.

back to the castle

oops I forgot I had started this thread and posted my return home/ horrible experience at the castle to the one about doctors not listening.

I am going to "fire" the interventional radiologist who they put on my case when I was at the castle, and if the gyn/onc doesn't start listening to me I am going to "fire" her also and go to one of her colleagues. Too bad if her ego is bruised. Will see what happens when she returns from her conference.

(BTW -- they were considering IV antibiotics at home prior to my discharge, but decided to give me oral meds instead.)
