Surgical Pre op done and now it is too real

I had my pre op at the hospital on Tuesday this week. I have a band on my arm so that they would know that I had my blood work done. I have only 5 days till I go into the castle and since I have had my surgical pre op I know that it is really going to happen. I am stressing out at work trying to get caught up and turning over things to other co workers for the 6 weeks I will be out. I do have good news though my mom is flying in on Sunday so she will be here for the surgery. It also makes me feel that nothing bad will happen to me since my mommy will protect me.
Isn't that silly of me I am 40 years old and still feel that my mommy will protect me from getting hurt. My main issue is that I do not check in the castle until 1045 and what am I going to do with all that time before hand????
Any advice????

Surgical Pre op done

Hi, it is a bit of a mixed blessing to have pre op done, isn't it? It does feel good to have it over but it also makes it all real.

I think that it's wonderful that your mom is getting to come and be with you. I don't think that it's silly to feel protected by your mom. That's what moms do!

Maybe you could treat yourself to a nice fragnant bath the morning of your syrgery to help pass the time. It might also help relax you a bit

Best wishes.
