Detrol works great but

the side effects are horrible.

I didn't have to much of a problem with it at first; just a dry mouth and that fuzzy headed feeling the next day(I took it at night)

But the longer I take it the worse the side effects get--blurry vision and headache are my main problems. Yesterday I had to leave Walmart because I felt like I was going to pass out and could barely see straight. :eyes: I felt a little better once I sat down in the car.

This doesn't happen if I don't take it, so I know its the Detrol. I'm taking Detrol LA 4mg. Does anyone know if the 2 mg dose would do the same thing?

I love being able to go to the bathroom normally but the cure is worse than the problem at this point.
TIA

I take the two mg

I take the 2 mg as so far I have't had any side effects. I have noticed that after I finish going I have really bad cramping in my bladder but not sure if it is related or not... I need to ask the dr.
But the 2 was enough to help my spasms.

Detrol works great but

I would think you could always try the 2mg dose and see if it works... perhaps the 4mg dose is just too high for your body... Maybe you will feel fine and have a normal bladder on the 2mg... I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Detrol works great but

Dani,

I took the 4mg for a month and then switched down to the 2mg. I was having dry mouth and dry eyes (noticable with contacts). Dry contacts will mess with your vision, definitely. Did not have the dizzy feeling (that I remember anyway).

I am glad you are asking your doctor about the 2mg dosage. My doc was very impressed that I knew to ask for the 2mg dosage. I hope you get a similar response.

Let us know what happens.

Take care!
