I feel like a "big girl"!

I had my first B.M. this morning! It wasn't even hard... (no pun intended...) I thought they wouldn't let me leave the castle w/o a B.M., but nobody even mentioned it. They just asked if I had passed "wind".

I am so amazed at how great I feel. Last night I actually slept on my tummy! (leg propped up to take weight off) I've always been a tummy sleeper--even during pregnancies.

Funny how such a slight event--like a B.M.--can be such an accomplishment!

I feel like a "big girl"!

I can remember that wonderful moment also. Isn't it funny the little things we celebrate now.
I had trouble passing much gas at the hospital and the doctor had me lay on my stomach (very carefully) to help move things along. It did work, and I found I could lay carefully that way. I wasn't able to get comfortable enough to sleep that way though.
Take care!

I feel like a "big girl"!

Even the most ordinary accomplishments are cause to celebrate. Your first walk to the bathroom unassisted, the first day you can stay up more than a few hours without getting tired.... things we used to do every day, but now seem like milestones.

Recovery is full of baby steps, each one an accomplishment. I hope you have an uneventful recovery.
