I had a partial vag. hyst. in early 80's. Kept my ovaries. Then about 8 yrs. later had ovaries removed. I'm now 61yrs. old and am bleeding enough to wear pantie shields. Have thought it was in urine, but it is also vaginal. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hi ((((infiniti)))) and welcome to Hyster Sisters I'm so sorry that you found us because you're having problems

How long ago was your latest surgery? If it was recent, the bleeding could be a result of some issues due to the surgery. If the last surgery was a while back, the bleeding could be due to a number of things. One possible cause that comes to mind is the possibility that the bleeding could be due to hormonal unbalance. It could also be the result of a thinning of the vaginal walls.

Whatever the cause of the bleeding, you really should get in touch with your doctor: only your doctor can adequately assess the situation and take measures to correct it.

Sending lots of s your way. Please keep us posted.

Hi well, it could be several things... the most likely would be vaginal dryness. If the tissues in the vagina dry out and start to atrophy, even just walking around can cause tiny tears in there which can ooze drops of blood.

When was the last time you had an internal exam and pap smear? Sounds like this might be a good time
