update on appt

today was doc appt.... she ordered a repeat ultrasound on the 11th of next month at 10am... if it's (multiple septated cyst) still there she's doing a hysterectomy... if it's gone I'm safe.... and she did a CA 125 blood work just to be sure after I mentioned my brother told me about it (my brother found out, mom spilled the beans i think, he's a MD).... I go back to her office at 2:15pm on the 11th for the results ....

she also wanted me to sign release forms for the hosp in alaska where the two ovarian surgeries were preformed (1992 & 1994) so she could see what kind of tumor & cyst they were.... so i did...

she was very nice... i feel more relaxed now...

thanks for letting me vent ladies....

Hello
I am so glad that you went to the Gyn. Hopefully, the cysts will shrink/ be gone. It takes a lot of courage to face something that you think might be bad. I lived in denio for 2 years about abnormal bleedings. The Doc's and PA's I mentioned this two brushed me off without looking. I knew that this was not normal but failed to stomp my feet to see a Gyn until last month.
I just tell you that, so you know others do the same, against better knowledge.
I'll keep you in my prayers, that all will be well.

I am glad to learn you feel more relaxed and like you doctor. BTW, is she a gyn/onc since they really have the expertise in these matters? I notice in your by-line you mention being in denial, that is so easy and often done, congrats that you now have the bulls by the horn and are taking action to take care of yourself. Please let us know how you do and please come back with questions and/or just to vent anytime. I will keep you in my prayers that your tests will come out well. s, peggiesue

GYN/ONC

If your doctor has any concern that there could be cancer, do ask for a referral to a gynecologic oncologist. These doctors are the absolute ones you want to do any surgery if there could be cancer. May this cyst, however, have disappeared by the 11th. The ultrasound and the cA125 will help form a picture for her of what's going on.

You might want to check in with your doc for the CA-125 results in a week or two. If it is very elevated, you might want to go directly to a gyn oncologist.

May that cyst just disappear!
