ok I started PT today and tonight I can't move.... Man did that woman hurt me. She would say does this excersise hurt and when I would say yes she would say ok do 25 or do 10 well, by the time I left I was limping crying and I couldn' t hardly stand up. Then my dr wants to cut my pain meds in half today. NOT... I called his office to talk to him but of course he never called me back. Well, I think they did this backwards I should have started pmgt first. not pt. ok I need to get up I am getting stiff again

(((Jeni)))

Hi sweetie...

Tyr to use some heat to help ease the tenderness (if okay'd by doctor).

I had PT when I had a neck injury and I know exactly what you are saying! I wanted the pain under control BEFORE doing any PT. Seems reasonable to me!

BTW, they suggested PT for me now with the bowel obstructions, but I did do a LOT of walking yesterday (shopping in a swapmeet, outdoors) and I'm hurting more than usual today...and the PT he wanted me to do was walking...so we'll just put that on hold now until I'm done with surgery and pain mangmnt...lol.

Hope you feel better soon hun.

Can you take a hot bath? Maybe that will help?

Dear ((Jeni))

Make sure to let the PT know the "results". Anytime I have been to PT (which has been many) the goal is improvement without provoking increased pain.... the first time is difficult because thge PT doesnt' always know how far to push it, especially if you develop pain after the fact. Hopefully she will change her approach... I know mine did. I hope you are able to see a PT who specializes in women's health issues, in particular pelvic pain.
