I've had endometriosis and ovarian cysts for 5 years now and have had numerous scopes and I just had both my tubes removed last June. I was wondering if there is any chance of having a baby now that they're gone? <admin. snip of e-mail for privacy concerns> please... any insight would be greatly appreciated..

Did you have just your tubes removed, or your tubes and ovaries?

If you still have your ovaries and uterus, I would think that you are still in business.

You would need invitro fertilization, because without tubes, there is no way for the eggs to travel to your uterus for implantation. The eggs are fertilized in the tubes and then travel to the uterus to implant.

Invitro involves using fertility drugs to stimulate the growth of multiple eggs within 1 cycle. These eggs are removed (while your are asleep) are then joined with sperm in a lab. The ones that grow sufficiently are then transferred to your uterus with the hopes of implantation. (they may transfer 3-4 embryos)

If the eggs from your ovaries are unusable for some reason, you can get donor eggs. (same concept as donor sperm)

I know alot about fertility treatments. I was going thru fertility treatment, so we could have a 2nd baby, when I ended up having a 'hurry up' TAH

I hope this helps.
